Government opens platform for reporting farm damage caused by storm "Kristin"
Following storm "Kristin", the Ministry of Agriculture and the Sea has announced that the forms for reporting damage to farming activity are now available on the websites of the Regional Coordination and Development Commissions (CCDR).
CCDR technical teams are also on the ground, working with local councils, carrying out an initial assessment of the damage and ensuring a thorough record of the losses suffered by farmers.
The Government acknowledges the severe impact of storm "Kristin" on the agricultural sector and the added pressure on the farmers affected, in an already challenging context. In response, it reaffirms its commitment to a rapid, close and effective response, guaranteeing fair and proportionate measures to support all producers who have suffered losses.

Beyond these original municipalities, an order published in February 2026 extended the list to a further 22, including: Alcoutim, Alenquer, Almeirim, Alpiarça, Anadia, Arganil, Arruda dos Vinhos, Azambuja, Baião, Benavente, Cartaxo, Castelo de Paiva, Chamusca, Coruche, Faro, Mafra, Monchique, Mortágua, Oliveira do Hospital, Salvaterra de Magos, Sobral de Monte Agraço and Tábua.
