Objective
To promote the diversification of the rural economy by supporting investment in trade, services and associated tourism activities that create or maintain jobs and make the territory more attractive.
Eligible beneficiaries
Natural or legal persons, provided they are SMEs (Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC). One application per beneficiary, covering a single sector of activity.

Natural or legal persons, provided they are SMEs (Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC). Territory: Mação, Oleiros, Proença-a-Nova, Sertã and Vila de Rei.
Assessment criteria
Ranking by Overall Value of the Operation (VGO), scale 0–20; operations with a VGO of 10 points or more are selected, up to the limit of the budget allocation.
VGO = 60% EDL + 10% ERUER + 5% TIR + 15% PT + 5% SPR + 5% AFJER.
EDL – contribution to the objectives of the Local Development Strategy; ERUER – renewable energy or efficient use of resources; TIR – internal rate of return; PT – jobs created; SPR – by-products or waste; AFJER – family farmer or young rural entrepreneur status.
