C.3.2.4 – Restoration of forestry potential following natural disasters, adverse climatic events or catastrophic events — Post-fire emergency stabilisation (Call No. 5)
Objective
To support emergency stabilisation after rural fires, restoring forest potential and damaged protective infrastructure at the relevant territorial scale.
Eligible beneficiaries
Legal persons governed by public law and management entities of AIGP, ZIF, UGF, EGF and common land (baldios), provided they hold forest areas in the parishes affected by the rural fires identified in Annex I of the call for applications (ICNF mapping).

Eligible actions
Recovery of fuel management strips, water points and signage; forest road network and fencing; erosion control and slope protection (chipping, residue or log barriers, contour furrows); protection of watercourses and torrent control; shelters and feeders for wildlife; preparation and monitoring of the application.
Afforestation and reforestation are not eligible. Implementation within 12 months.
Assessment criteria
VGO = 0,20 A + 0,15 B + 0,15 C + 0,50 D (scale 0 to 20): A – Integrated management; B – Classified areas (Natura 2000 Network/RNAP); C – Susceptibility to desertification; D – Size of the burnt area. Operations with VGO ≥ 10 are selected.
