Objective
Support for SMEs in rural areas wishing to create or develop non-agricultural activities — local retail, services, handicrafts, rural tourism accommodation, and tourist entertainment activities. Investments between €10,000 and €300,000, with non-repayable grant support of up to 60%, to be set by each Local Action Group in its respective call.
Eligible beneficiaries
Natural or legal persons that are SMEs, holding SME certification, a CAE (Economic Activity Code) from Annex VI of the Ordinance, and adequate professional capacity.

Pessoas singulares ou coletivas que sejam PME, com certificação PME, CAE do Anexo VI da Portaria e capacidade profissional adequada.
Eligible actions
Creation and development of non-agricultural economic activities by SMEs: local retail, provision of services, handicrafts, rural tourism accommodation, and tourist entertainment activities — construction, refurbishment, and adaptation of premises; acquisition of equipment and furniture; IT equipment and software; certifications; architectural and engineering services.
Eligible costs
Construction, refurbishment, and adaptation of premises; equipment and furniture; IT equipment and software; renewable energy and energy efficiency; certifications; architectural and engineering services; overheads.
Assessment criteria
Ranking by Overall Merit of the Operation (VGO); minimum score of 10 points for selection. Criteria: contribution to the LDS; renewable energy or efficient resource use; IRR; quality certifications; job creation; valorisation of by-products or waste; Status of Young Rural Entrepreneur or Family Farmer. State aid under Articles 60 and 61 of Reg. (EU) 2022/2472. VGO formula weightings set by each LAG — check the call's Technical Orientation (OT).
